New Year’s Eve Party 2019 and Cuba Presentation

January 30th, 2020

Arbor Lakes ended the year with a bang at the 2019 New Year’s Eve party. We also got to learn about a trip one of our tenants recently took to Cuba with his family. Check it out!

We all welcomed 2020 with an extra-special New Year’s Eve party that was also a birthday celebration for tenants Leroy and Marjean! At the party, the “Somewhat Dixieland Band” led us through song and dance with some great Dixieland style music. We also enjoyed delicious appetizers, a champagne toast and countdown, and a great time with friends.

Happy New Year, and happy birthday to Leroy and Marjean! ????

Earlier this winter, one of our tenants, Jack Parisian, took a trip to Cuba with his family. Jack’s daughter and son-in-law recently came by Arbor Lakes Senior Living to present a photo slideshow and share lots of interesting facts and fun details from the family’s trip. Everyone loved the opportunity to “travel” to Cuba through their eyes and wonderful experiences!

Spreading Holiday Joy

December 16th, 2019

We’ve been spreading holiday joy and getting into the spirit of the season this December. Check out all the Christmas fun we’ve been having here at Arbor Lakes!

Happy crafters bringing holiday spirit to Arbor Lakes Senior Living with some Christmas door decorations! ??

You could feel the love, joy, and Christmas spirit fill our building at the holiday anniversary celebration last week!

We were visited by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and had LOTS of music to help us celebrate: the piano stylings of Mavis and David, the beautiful “Sounds of Christmas” performance by the Armstrong Chamber Singers, and a joyous Christmas concert performed by our very own Arbor Lakes Choir! We are so proud of our choir and the happy sounds of Christmas that they share with all of us. The event wouldn’t be complete without all the delicious food made by our Chef Jean, including homemade Christmas cookies.

From all of us at Arbor Lakes Senior Living, we wish you and your family a very happy holiday season!

Our Arbor Lakes Choir performed in both Memory Care units this week, happily spreading lots of joy and holiday cheer!

It was such a treat to hear everyone join together and sing Christmas music.

We were so lucky to have the Hanson family perform here at Arbor Lakes. Their talented family played piano and violin for us, and shared a lot of Christmas joy and kindness with the entire room!

Story Time and Dock Diving Dogs

September 24th, 2019

More September fun at Arbor Lakes Senior Living with story time and dock diving dogs. Check it out!

Tenants having fun reading to the kids during story time with the Maple Grove Moms Club!

We took a trip to the “For the Love of Dogs/The Dog Tank” in Mendota Heights to cheer for our Chef Manager, Jean, her daughter, Liz, and their chocolate labs, Cora and Carson. They competed against other dogs in a dock diving competition. It was so fun to see all types of breeds come together to compete. We saw everything from a Yorkshire terrier from Nashville to labs and German shepherds. Both of Jean and Liz’s dogs did really well. Way to go, Cora and Carson!
